The aim of the project is to collect new gravity data in two carefully chosen transects along the Taylor Valley (from the head of Lake Bonney to the coast, via Lake Hoare and Lake Fryxell), and also the Wright Lower Glacier along Doorly Ridge and across the Wilson Piedmont Glacier to the coast. These transects will allow for measurements that are mainly on bedrock thereby minimizing ice thickness corrections to the data and follow lines that were measured in previous gravity campaigns in the 1960s and 70s.
